Lappset Group Oy increases its stake in interactive playground and sport equipment and local distribution of playground and sport products by acquiring the remaining 49 % of the shares of Yalp Lappset Holding B.V. Lappset Group has been the majority owner in Yalp already since 2012 and will now continue developing the business further. The transaction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2019.
Following this transaction, Yalp will become a fully owned subsidiary of Lappset Group, and all its employees will continue working from their current location.
The deal will help accelerate the growth of classic playground equipment and interactives in all group’s markets.
In 2018, Yalp had a turnover of 10.6 Mio € and had 63 employees. Its office and production are located in Goor, in the Netherlands.
Based in the town of Rovaniemi, Lappset Group is one of Europe’s leading designers and manufacturer of playground and sport equipment, themed attractions as well as sports fields including air domes. In 2018, the consolidated turnover for the Lappset Group was 63.5 million euros, employing over 400 people internationally. The Group has 15 subsidiaries in nine countries and its distribution network extends out to over 50 different countries around the world.
