Playground and sports park in Finland

The Municipality of Sievi decided to invest in the well-being of its residents of different ages by investing in a well-equipped local sports and play park.

Local sports areas are gaining in popularity as providers of play and exercise opportunities. The municipality of Sievi, Finland, also wants to invest in the well-being of its residents, and a versatile Puuhaparkki Park was built in the municipality, serving all ages from children to seniors. The meeting place of three generations was made possible not only by the municipal contribution but also by local entrepreneurs who donated a significant amount for the construction of the park.

Lappset supplied playground equipment from its Finno range, a Froggy carousel and a Play Planetarium climbing cradle for children to learn the constellations of the sky. In addition to these, the play area includes a variety of swings and slides. From the range of technology products, Sievi chose the interactive Sona dance arc that plays music and have different dancing games.

The sports park features the Lappset Street Workout, Fitness and Gym collections, as well as Senior Sport equipment designed for the health of the elderly. Accessibility was also taken into account in the design of the park. For example, an artificial turf pad and fine gravel (stone ash) were installed in the area to facilitate the passage.
