A public playground in Krakow, Poland

Turning unused space into a popular family oasis!

Krakow Czyżyny
The park of Czyżyny is a large public revitalization project funded from the civic participatory budget. It's located at the area of the former bus depot and part of a disused airport (3 hectares of just asphalt and concrete!).

Our local partner Cityconcept delivered and installed this playground with also outdoor gym equipment and the central attraction of the park - a large Wall-Holla product. Exciting vertical play!

The end result is a very popular recreational family place in the city of Kraków with a nice design of the area, which still refers to its previous function: planes and buses are part of the pattern on the EPDM surface at the playground.

The total height is 1,305 mm, and the base is at 330 mm. A good sense of balance keeps us from falling over and injuring ourselves. At the same time, the exercises improve leg and core muscle fitness. Squatting and standing back up requires both leg and core strength. For more of a challenge, the squats can be done without holding on, or even on one leg. The foothold plates are made of wear-resistant PE-HD plastic that also has non-slip qualities.
