Dubai Creek Harbour Leisure Park

This marine themed shaded play area in Dubai features two large sea creatures and an outdoor sports area.

Dubai, UAE
Working in collaboration with Gulf Landscape LLC, Gebal Group designed and built in conjunction with Lappset a 890m2 marine themed shaded play area, featuring two large Sea Creatures. The 4m high Octopus for ages 3+ incorporates a net labyrinth, accessed by 5 different climbing adventure routes. From the look out points, and net platforms, children can decide their exit via multiple directional slides.

The Sea Monster for ages 6+ comprises an angular painted climable mesh frame (for internal heat reduction) which extends up reaching a lofty height of 8m from which children can slide down the plastic (non-metal due to climate) curved tube slide. Internally hanging spheres, rope hammocks, nets and platforms provide multiple play opportunities. For those children that study the Sea Creatures they’ll find the gory Sea Monster has ripped a tentacle from the Octopus (which is the slide located in the mouth of the Sea Monster), but how the Octopus has an extraordinary talent of being able to re-grow it’s body parts. The play mounds of different heights and shapes give an undulating landscape with surround access and added play value.

The outdoor area is finalised with a Fitness area incorporating Lappset’s Street Workout, Rope Wall, Barebell, Balance Spring etc. This park is overlooked by the residential towers and now provides leisure facilities for all age groups and abilities.
