Warranty terms and conditions of Lappset Group Ltd (hereinafter “Lappset Group”).
Scope of Warranty
These warranty terms and conditions apply to faults in products and components manufactured by Lappset Group. The warranty covers defects in materials and manufacturing.
Separate warranty terms and conditions apply to electronic products (please see product-specific warranty terms).
For brokered products the warranty terms determined by the manufacturer for each specific product or component applies (please see product-specific warranty terms).

- wooden parts preserved according to class AB with no ground contact.

- wooden parts preserved according to class AB with ground contact (outside Europe).

The warranty period for the surface finish on metal components installed in structures within 500 metres from seashore is half the standard warranty period.
The warranty period starts on the day the product is delivered from the Lappset factory.
Replacement of damaged components
The warranty covers replacement of faulty components so, that the replacement components shall be delivered free of charge to the warehouse of the concerned Lappset dealer or the Lappset dealer nearest to the client. Damaged components must be replaced by Lappset components. Damaged components must be returned to Lappset Group at the sender’s expense if so requested. The warranty period for any product or component replaced by virtue of these warranty terms and conditions is the remainder of the warranty period of the original product or component.
The Incoterms 2010 delivery terms in export and Finnterms 2001 within Finland governing the division of responsibilities and costs are applied to damages and losses during transport of the original products and components. As a rule, the delivery (number of goods) must be checked against the dispatch notes prior to accepting the delivery. If there is any external damage to packaging, this should be noted in the bill of lading. If there is any damage in the product sustained during transport that could not be detected on receipt, the forwarder's representative must be asked to inspect the goods within seven (7) days of the receipt of the goods.
Prerequisites of warranty
Any claims pertaining to this warranty must be made in written to Lappset Group without unnecessary delay after the fault has been detected and during the warranty period.
The warranty is valid only if the foundation, installation and maintenance work have been carried out according to Lappset Group's instructions and the official (concrete foundation) regulations. A precondition to the warranty is that a log of the handover inspection and documentation on maintenance work is presented to Lappset Group in conjunction with submitting a warranty claim.
Limitations of warranty
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage sustained during incorrect storage, installation or use, resulting from vandalism or natural catastrophe. The warranty does not cover the change of damaged components (uninstallation and reinstallation). Faults resulting from dereliction of maintenance instructions and operation manuals; faults resulting from changes, repairs or maintenance to products or components performed by others than Lappset Group and fading of colours are not in the scope of the warranty.
The warranty does not cover surface corrosion caused by environmental conditions such as salt water or salt water mist or corrosion of scratches and dents.
The warranty does not cover minor cracks or bending in wood, splints, tears or other cosmetic damages or defects.
Lappset Group’s liability for faulty products or components is limited to what has been stated in these warranty terms and conditions. Lappset Group is not liable for any indirect costs, losses or damages.
