An obstacle-free route
- The different areas of the ship are accessible via ramps. It is also possible to go around the ship via the bow
- Handrails provide support – and the rings can be used to practise fine motor control.
- The games wall is low enough for wheelchair users as well.
- The corrugated floor provides a challenge for going up and down small hills in a wheelchair
- With assistance, wheelchair users can also use the slide (assistance is needed for getting out of the wheelchair and back in again)
Access for persons with visual impairment
- Safe exercises for practising balance
- The severely visually impaired and blind can learn to identify different kinds of materials, surfaces, directions and the shape of the ship, for example
- Handrails and other guidebars enable independent access – visually impaired persons cannot get lost on the ship!
